Apple Unveils 2nd Generation Apple Pencil with Tap Gesture, Wireless Charging
At its special hardware event in Brooklyn, Apple has unveiled the much-rumoured Mac Mini computer with powerful internals and a new space gray colour starting at $799. It is now up for pre-order and goes on sale from November 7.
Alongside new iPad Pro models, Apple has also launched the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil which brings some major upgrades over its predecessor.
The new Apple Pencil has a more minimalist design and magnetically attaches with a charging point on the iPad Pro’s right edge.
The best part is that the iPad Pro will continuously charge the Apple Pencil as long as both the devices are in contact.
This implementation is much better than charging the Apple Pencil by plugging it in the iPad’s Lightning port.
Just detach the Apple Pencil and you are good to go. Moreover, there is support for tap gestures to accomplish tasks such as adjusting the stroke width while drawing, opening a toolbar, etc.
The new Apple Pencil has been priced at $129 and will be available starting November 7th, 2018
