Ubisoft finally released the trailer of Assassins Creed Valhalla, it’s upcoming game, yesterday. This happened after a poster of the game was released 2 days ago telling us some minor details about the game. Finally, there is some interesting changes and story in the game we are going to witness.
To start, as the name suggests, ‘Valhalla’ is often a term used in Norse-Mythology. It is a heaven for horse people where you need to be chosen by a God named Odin. People who die in battle travel to Valhalla upon Odin Choice. The story and character of the game are based on Norse-Mythology.
The theme of the game is set to the Viking’s era where it starts with Eivor. It will the main character playable in the game which is featured in the Norweigan region. It features ninth-century England. The trailer starts by showing people how the Vikings won numerous wars in search of Valhalla upon their death. It’s so interesting how Ubisoft comes up with different themes including spartan, a templar, a pirate, etc.
According to the trailer, the game will feature multiple terrains to fight on. Your character can be a male or a female. Your ultimate goal is to fight multiple battles and lead your clan to all the victories in Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms to find your people a new home.
The main part of the story comes when the Eivor fights with the king of Wessex, Aelfred, who fights back and holds the Viking’s off his land. So, of all the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms that fell, Wessex was the only one that survived the battle against Vikings.
Here’s the trailer if you missed it.
One of the most important things Ubisoft didn’t forget to add this time was the Hidden Blade. Yes, the franchise trademark is back again after it was removed from the previous game. This will bring back a lot of interesting combat moves and skills for the players who were not satisfied with the previous game.
Apart from all this, there are other in-game tweaks available like fishing, hunting, drinking games, or ‘Viking Rap Battle’. Ubisoft Claims “Raids will be more action-packed and brutal than anything Assassin’s Creed has seen before”. You will have varieties like raiding enemy territories for resources with the help of alliances and mercenaries you have.
In accordance with the question that why does the character have both male and female characters to play with, Thierry Noel said “Sagas and myths from Norse society are full of tough female characters and warriors. It was part of their idea of the world, that women and men are equally formidable in battle, and that’s something that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will reflect”.
The game will be available later in 2020 and will support various platforms including the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X. Pc versions can be purchased from either the epic games store or directly from Ubisoft. There will an additional story available for download named Assassins Creed Valhalla – The way of the Berserker.
