The ASUS ROG (Republic Of Gamers) phone, a complete package for an unimaginable gaming experience. Asus announced this gaming smartphone as a prototype earlier this year. Asus has chiselled each and every minute design as well as features of this phone. Even though the phone hasn’t released yet, it has created a lot of hype among the gamers community.

There are a lot of things which have been announced about the additional accessories of this phone. Those were like the additional cooling mod, the ROG wireless gamepad with a wireless receiver (kinda like the Nintendo Switch), a mobile desktop dock (like Samsung’s DeX), a Twin view Dock and a separate gaming controller.

Let’s dig into other cool stuff this smartphone has, based on the spec sheet.

Design:

This smartphone is going to be known as best in terms of design. Yet there are people who are not fond of this design. This smartphone is designed especially for the gaming experience. It has built with metal on all the sides. It has got a white lined theme in the shiny silverish back panel.

It has got the customizable RGB lighting at the ROG logo on the back. There’s a unique camera cut out which is like a tilted rectangle. The fingerprint sensor is also of the same shape which is a little wider than other fingerprint sensors. There are a couple of orange pore-like cut-outs which for the external cooling adapter mod called Aero active Cooler. In the front, it has got the front firing speakers which are said to be the best of all.

Performance:

It is no wonder that this phone has got the best performing capabilities. As I said earlier Asus is so conscious in delivering the best gaming device to its gaming community. Being said that, this phone is built with a 2.96 GHz Snapdragon 845 with 10nm octa-core processor.

It has got Adreno 630 GPU. This device comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128 and 256GB of internal storage. Apart from this, it has also got a liquid vapour cooling chamber for an enhanced gaming experience. If this smartphone is connected with any of those docks mentioned above, this smartphone would out better gaming experience than any other smartphone would.

Display

The all-new ROG phone has got a 6 inch AMOLED display with a refreshing rate of 90 frames per second whereas its competition Razer Phone 2 has a refreshing rate of 120 frames per second. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 18:9. It comes with a corning gorilla glass protection but not sure whether it’s 3 or 5.

Camera:

This phone has dual camera set-up at the rear which contains a standard 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 lens without Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel Wideangle sensor. These both cameras can capture video of 4K resolution at both 30 and 60 fps.

The secondary front-facing camera is a standard 8-megapixel camera.

As far as a gaming smartphone this smartphone has a pretty decent camera set-up

Release Date:

The released date of this gaming beast is yet to be announced by the company. But there were rumours that it will be released on 18th October but it hasn’t yet. Now it is said that it will be released between 22-24th of October and others say that the launch date is on 29th October. Not sure which one to believe. Let us wait for the official announcement from Asus itself.
