The Telecom giant JIO has raised the monthly tariff plans for mobile users. The new Tariff plans will cost you Rupees 222, 333, 444 for one, two and three months respectively. Keep reading to know why JIO has increased the tariff rates and how will it affect the users.
JIO has increased the monthly tariff charges in order to cover the expenses of 6 paise per minute (IUC) which JIO has to pay to another Telecom companies for calls made to them from JIO numbers.
There has been a lot of controversy on the interconnect usage charges (IUC). Jio has complained that other companies are stealing its revenue and taunted companies like idea, vodafone, and airtel on twitter by posting some images.
What are the changes in the Jio New Tariff Plans?
One month plan:
The previous tariff plan of Rs. 198 for one month of 2 GB data per day and unlimited calls valid for 28 days is now changed to Rs. 222 for one month of 2 GB data per day with unlimited calls to Jio numbers and up to 1000 mins of calls to non jio numbers. Thus the Tariff is raised by Rs. 24.
Two months plan:
The previous plan of Jio for two months (70 days validity) was priced at Rs. 398 for unlimited calls and 4g data, and the new plan for two months (56 days validity) is priced at Rs. 333 for 2 GB data per day with unlimited calls to Jio numbers and up to 1000 mins of calls to non jio numbers.
Three months plan:
The new three months plan is valid for 84 days which offers you 4g data with unlimited calls to Jio numbers and up to 1000 mins of calls to non jio numbers.
Also Jio no longer offers the Rs. 19 and Rs. 52 plans for one and seven days respectively.
