Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi has confirmed the rumour about launching the next generation of their fitness band called Mi Band 4. Xiaomi has officially announced that the launch event will take place on 11th of June in China.
Mi Band 4 comes with new coloured OLED panel bigger than its predecessor. Xiaomi already has launched Mi Band 3 Hey+, which has all the features of Mi Band 3 with AMOLED panel. Xiaomi launched this model only in China.
The display uses the same touch sensor as before. Xiaomi claims that the response time will be much more accurate and faster than before.
It’s best features includes Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, 110 mAh Li-polymer battery. Xiaomi claims 20 days of battery life on normal usage. It also comes with water resistance up to 50 m.
NFC variant allows the user to make cashless payments with Mi Pay. Xiaomi recently launched Mi Pay in India.
Recent reports suggest that the Xiaomi will be launching Mi Band 4 with NFC connectivity as a separate model as they did with the previous model.
Xiaomi claims that the upcoming Mi Band has several new features and upgrades. There are major hardware and software fixes and improved battery efficiency.
The previous model has failed to track some of the workouts, but with Mi Band 4, Xiaomi has gone with new dialogue chip which collects data more accurately and never missing any workout.
Overall, Xiaomi provides the best fitness at a very low price and good quality like it has been so many years. The report suggests that it will be launching at a price of $32 for the US which will be somewhere around Rs.2200 in India. In China, the price tag holds 199 Yuan for the normal variant and 229 Chinese Yuan for the NFC variant.
Xiaomi already created several benchmarks in the fitness band industry in terms of value for money and product quality. Now it’s time for next-generation Mi band, the Mi band 4. Xiaomi may launch Mi band 4 along with Mi 9/9T smartphone or in the name of K20 Pro (in some western markets).
