The rumored Redmi K30 Pro has been rebranded and launched today as POCO F2, globally. Poco as a brand earned a lot of fame and credibility when the first Poco F1 was launched. It was considered as the perfect flagship killer. After almost 2 years, Poco X2 was launched in the mid-range segment with refresh screen display and a lot more.
Finally, POCO F2 has launched with many promising features. Let’s start from
POCO F2 comes with an AMOLED Display;
Unlike the POCO F1, the POCO F2 comes with an AMOLED panel this time instead of an IPS LCD. It comes with a 6.67” display which is 92.7% screen-to-body ratio.
The primary refresh rate of the screen is 60Hz but they have tweaked up the touch sampling rate to a whopping 180Hz.
This device supports HDR10+ content which will be immersive as the phone comes with a no-notch, full-screen display.
One of the frustrations all the Poco users had with the Poco F1 was not being able to watch HD content on Netflix and Amazon Prime Videos. This time POCO has managed to get the Widevine L1 certification for this phone which allows the device to support HD content on all streaming platforms.
This device comes with the latest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 865. This chipset has so many capabilities. One of the most interesting features is its capability of 5G connectivity. Yes, the POCO F2 supports 5G connectivity.
Apart from that, the SD865 enables 8K video recording, the battery consumption is very less and also it makes this phone eligible for future updates of the GPU drivers, the concept which Qualcomm announced a few months back.

As I mentioned earlier, this phone comes with a full-screen display with no notch thanks to the motorized 20MP pop-up selfie camera.
On the rear side, this phone holds a 64MP lens as a primary camera, a 5MP telephoto lens, a 13MP Ultra Wide Angle Lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
This phone is having a circular camera module just like the OnePlus 7T and it still has a wobbly camera bump.
Other Features of the POCO F2:
Apart from the normal specs, this phone has got some cool new features like 33W fast charging, Bluetooth 5.1 (latest), In-display fingerprint sensor, a headphone jack (Super rare these days, enough reason for buying this phone) and improved 3 layer cooling system. The cooling system is interesting because it is said to have 3 layers of Graphite, Graphene, and the normal vapor chamber called “Super VC”. This is the first phone in the industry to have such advanced cooling tech.
When it comes to pricing POCO as a brand seems to have decided to follow the footsteps of OnePlus, as the OnePlus has moved ahead and started pricing equally to other high-end smartphone manufacturers. POCO F2 is priced at €500 which is roughly around ₹40,000.
Would we recommend you to buy this phone? Yes, because this phone has got all the latest tech and some new innovative features as well. Even though not having a refresh rate display would be a bummer, the 180Hz touch sampling rate seems to be enough for having this phone as a daily driver.
