After launching the Galaxy Tab S6 a while ago, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite after so many teasers about its launch in the past few weeks. The launch was not official but Samsung posted quietly on its Indonesian store.
As rumored the new Tablet matches the looks of its previous flagship with some reductions. For example, the display of the new Galaxy Tab S6 is smaller at 10.4-inches with a resolution of 2400 x 1200. There is a budget TFT panel instead of the OLED panel which was in the Galaxy Tab S6 which will result in the low-quality display but again the device is supposed to be budget-friendly so much is not expected in this price range.
The display is supported with S Pen and just like the Galaxy Tab S6, there is one included in the box of this version too. The difference was the Pen unlike in its previous flagship tablet, doesn’t have battery/BlueTooth for air gestures which was supported in Galaxy Tab S6.
The hardware specifications of the tablet are 1.7GHz octa-core processor along with a 2.3GHz of boost available assuming its an Exynos processor. The chipset is packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is an option of a microSD card and a USB-C port charging and data transfer in your device. The power of the tablet is inside a 7,040 mAh battery which Samsung claims can last about 12 hours.
And yes, of course, the most highlighted point of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is unlike its predecessor, it comes with a headphone jack.
Coming to the software, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite packs Android 10 along with Samsung’s One UI 2.1 skin. DeX support is not spotted in the device but the performance should still be identical to the previous flagship tablet. Still, there are no hands-on reviews of the device yet so there is nothing we can say at the moment about how the device will perform in daily usage.
The question is about the price of the tablet which is not mentioned anywhere on the post on the store page. It is rumored to be somewhere around 399$ which is a budget price considering its a Lite version of the previous flagship.
We are hoping for an official launch from the company soon along with the other rumored devices like the notch-less display device which is one of the most teased smartphones. If, the device launched in this price range, it should be good for budget-friendly users who are looking to upgrade their tablets.
